Terry Haggerty
1 April 2018 – 5 May 2018

PS Project Space is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Terry Haggerty with a series of new works on paper. The show will open on the 1st of April and continue until the 5th of May.

The exhibition at PS projects presents a series of twenty works on paper by Terry Haggerty.

Painted in various tones of black acrylic on plain, gridded paper, these simple sculptural structures shift in appearance from mask to monolithic form. Framed by fine colorful line contours that define the outer edges, folding black bands, of seemingly thin material, are bent and shaped in to volumetric structures that oscillate between flatness and dimensional space.
Laid out like excavated artifacts from another time to be measured and analyzed, Haggerty examines the proportional properties of these objects to understand the cultural landscape from which they came. Piecing together the remnants of past explorations in minimalism and primitivism, he uncovers and realigns fractured elements in an playful way.

On the occasion of the exhibition of Terry Haggerty, PS projectspace and Studio Onvervalst have published a silkscreen print.
